Customers Thrilled With Efficiency Gains From Automated Scheduling, Enhanced PowerPoint Support, Salesforce Content Library Integration and New eSignature Options
BROOMFIELD, CO — November 19, 2010 — AppExtremes Inc., developers of the Conga Suite for Salesforce, today announced their Winter ’11 release which includes Automated Scheduling, tight integration with the Salesforce Content Library, multiple enhancements for PowerPoint output and support for DocuSign and Sertifi e-signature solutions.
Automated Scheduling complements Conga Composer’s batch processing add-on introduced during Dreamforce ’10. Now, repetitive operations like executive report generation or monthly invoicing can be set up to run on a set schedule, using all of the power of Conga Composer to create and distribute sophisticated documents, reports and presentations.
“With a single click, Conga Composer saved us the four hours we used to spend generating and distributing a weekly management report, and with the new scheduling option we don’t have to lift a finger – they receive it automatically,” said Jane Isaac, Director of Sales Operations, N.A. for Open Solutions, Inc., a leading provider of data processing technologies for banks and credit unions. “Plus, senior management prefers their reports in PowerPoint, which until now meant lots of copy-and-paste screen shots from Excel. With the new release, we can embed Excel charts in the slides and the data is seamlessly added for a fully-finished presentation.”
The Conga Composer Winter ’11 release also adds support for merging multiple files retrieved from Salesforce Content Library and the ability to automatically store output there with links to related Salesforce data records.
“Our customers wanted to integrate data sheets, price lists and even templates stored in Salesforce Content Library as part of Conga Composer solutions,” said Michael Markham, AppExtremes CTO. “At the same time, they’re concerned about storage costs, but still need to archive proposals, contracts and other output created with our solutions, and this release allows them to do that in Salesforce Content Library, rather than as attachments under the Notes & Attachments related list.”
Other Enhancements in Conga Composer Winter ’11
Conga SOQL Query Builder
In addition to Salesforce Reports, Conga Composer allows the use of SOQL queries for gathering data from related objects and lists. The new release introduces the Conga Query Builder, enabling any user to create a SOQL query with an easy point and click tool. Now, users can access data not accessible to reports, leverage the new SUM, AVG, COUNT, and GROUP functions for complex summary reporting, and even gather data that can be passed as parameters to reports and other Conga parameters.
The Conga Composer Winter ’11 release caps a year-long development effort to address customer challenges that previously would have required custom programming. Leading examples include the ability to select and re-order multiple templates and files for consolidated output, dynamic grouping for Word tables, on-the-fly assembly of multiple Word documents, and culture-appropriate formatting for multi-currency solutions. PowerPoint solutions gain many new capabilities, including support for dynamic tables and charting, and the ability to display dashboard elements and other images stored in Salesforce.
Building on the broad adoption of Conga Composer with EchoSign’s e-signature solution, Conga Composer Winter ’11 adds support for DocuSign for Salesforce and Sertifi’s ESIGN offering. With a single click, Conga Composer generates the desired file and creates the components required for electronic delivery and signatures.
