Meet Jarrod! If you’re attending Salesforce Essentials Hong Kong on March 26th you’ll have the opportunity to meet Jarrod in person. Jarrod is quite the world traveler and couldn’t be happier about the newest addition to his family – a sweet baby boy! If you can’t attend on March 26th or you just want to know more about our fantastic Manager of APAC Operations, read on!
Q: Can you describe your role and what you do at Conga?
I am the Manager of APAC Operations based in Sydney, Australia. I’m responsible for the APAC Conga team and all of our wonderful customers and partners here in APAC.
Q: What’s your favorite part about working at Conga?
It would have to be the tight-knit family we have. Even though we have staff spread across different corners of the globe, everyone knows everyone, we interact (and banter) with each other all the time and someone is always willing to lend you a hand when you need it!
Q: What’s the coolest solution you helped a customer build?
About 9 months ago I worked with our partner DocuSign to put together an In Person Signing solution using Salesforce1 for a large media organisation’s sales staff. They were blown away that they could configure a deal on their tablet out on the road, and get their customer to sign off on the deal while they were sitting with them. That’s pretty cool.
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not at Conga?
Boost my country count (I’m a little bit addicted to visiting new countries), ski/snowboard, photography and spending every possible second with my little one.
Q: What’s your favorite use case for a Conga Composer solution?
I can’t say I’d have a favourite exactly. What I do love though is when you are speaking with someone and you expose them to something they didn’t know was possible. It’s the “Hang on, what? You can do that? That’s awesome” moment.
Q: Do you have any pets?
I’ve got a fish tank, a Guinea Pig named Chopper and 3 rabbits – Mr Flopper, Chase and Willow. The rabbits are non-stop trouble, they keep me amused and on my toes.
Q: What’s something your customers would be surprised to learn about you?
Hmmm, there’s probably a bunch of things that would surprise our customers 🙂 I spent a lot of my younger years travelling the globe and most people are shocked/impressed/bewildered that I’ve travelled to 75 countries in the world (soon to be 76) so that’s probably a good one!
Q: What’s your favorite candy bar?
Well we don’t call it candy in Australia but I’d have to say I’m a sucker for a Snickers. Who doesn’t love peanuts, caramel and chocolate in one delicious mouthful! There’s also L+P flavoured Whittakers chocolate which I can eat a whole block at a time of. You can only get it in New Zealand. I have a friend that brings it back in bulk for me! It’s sooooooooo good!
